Rahul Mahipal

Rahul Mahipal has over 25 years of comprehensive universal banking experience. Of the experience, the last 10 has been in senior leadership roles across the various roles that worked in. Rahul has held management positions in banking and financial services industry with leading international & private banks, Non Banking Financial Services companies and other treasury houses. The major institutions where he has served include ING Vysya Bank, Standard Chartered Bank & Edelweiss Group.

He began his professional career starting with equities and then transitioned to treasury management & money markets and further making his way to gain an even more rounded experience with consulting and start-up. Rahul spend the last few years with corporate banking, treasury, structured credit, collateralized lending, promoter financing & mezzanine financing. He has had a rich geographic experience and worked across various locations in India and in the UK

He brings with him the rich experience of complex aspect of finance, marketing, strategy and legal & consulting. He has the leadership capability to build up new business and scale up existing business including managing high performance teams and working and leading in complex matrix structures. His success mantra is the ‘trust’ and the ‘partnership’ developed with your stakeholders which stands the test of time and holds in good stead for enduring success.

He obtained a Bachelor in Commerce degree from St’ Xaviers College, Kolkata and had an accomplished academic record both academically as well as in extracurricular social activities. He is additionally a qualified Cost Accountant and Chartered Accountant with rank in the intermediate exam. Rahul post qualifying in India went on to earn an international MBA from Strathclyde Graduate Business School (University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, Scotland).

Rahul is the proud father of 2 sons and a successful entrepreneur having consulted and invested in multiple ventures.
